Here is the picture of the outside…..I didn’t put  embellishments on the cover as this is meant to go in my purse and I knew they would not last long .  I covered some chipboard coasters with SU DSP and used Kiwi Kiss and Basic Grey cardstock to make a divider and cover the inside covers.  I inked up Darling Damask (another favourite) and used matching inks to make a pattern on the divider and inside covers.

Sorry the picture isn’t really clear…..need to work on my lighting skills .  but you get the idea.

Here are some inside shots………………half of the book is Grocery Lists and the other half is "To Do" Lists so I can make sure to list places I need to go….or sales I don’t want to miss.  LOL

 This is a close up shot….but you still can’t really see that I perforated the white pieces just before the binding so they would make a nice clean tear-out and used one of the "do dads" from the Listed set to decorate where the coil is.  I did use the Zutter Bind-it-All if you are wondering.

Super Cute eh!!!  I am going to get my hubby to make a little hole in the end of a golf pencil so I can ribbon it to the coils and it can be stored inside the coils………..no need to be diggin’ for something to write with either!!!

Janet decided that she wanted to give her daughter’s preschool teachers a Chapters gift card at the end of the year and wanted something cute to put them in….so she borrowed part of her creation from the Halloween Top-Note treat box that I made and incorporated some coasters and came up with this:

Her Instructions are as follows………..

Inner Box

Start with the inner box from the tutorial by Angie

1. Cut piece of cardstock 8 x  5 1/2
2. Score the 8" side at 1", 3 1/2", 4 1/2", 7"
3. Turn paper and score 1" in on each side
4. Cut all the score marks up to the 1" mark as shown

1. 2 pieces of 4×4 chipboard coasters, cut down to 4 x 2 ¾
2. Round corners with punch
3. Cover both sides of both pieces with Designer Series Paper and sand sides down
4. Decorate with embellishments as desired.
5. Attach to front and back of Box with sticky strip.

1. Card stock cut down to 4 x 2 3/8
2. With the 2 3/8 side up score at ½ and 1 7/8
3. Flip over and put the 4” side up and score between the above listed score marks to make the lines in the spine for that Book Effect.
4. Attach a “bookmark” to the inside of the spine
5. Attach Spine to base with sticky strip.

My sweet little girl Kendra will be turning ONE on December 11th and I will be usng the Simple Birthday Thanks set for her Invitations.  While at the Creative Stitches Alive Fair this past weekend I purchased a box of Maya Road Chipboard that had 54 pieces of make-your-own cupcakes!!! SO CUTE! I decided to make her a cute little book that I can put pictures of her big day in.  I got to use my favourite new toy the Zutter Bind-it-All as well.  I tried a really cool technique we learned from Linda Hamilton at Convention.  It’s hard to see in the photo but the whipped cream top of the cupcake is done with white craft reinker and a classic ink reinker swirled technique.  I promise to show the step-by-step technique soon, but until then, here is the photo.

I put this little "Spa" kit together using RBD cardstock, Designer Paper and Stamps.  I also used their GREAT test tubes w/ corks and 1/2 lb. candy boxes.  I filled the candy box with cherry filled chocolates….yum!

The test tubes, as Devon has shown already, are heat proof as they are pyrex strength.  So, I rolled 2 of the test tubes in the Palette stamp and stick glue pads and then covered with iridescent ice embossing powder, heated and let cool.  For the spiral look, use the Scor-tape and wind around the test tube in an even spiral.  Peel off the backing to expose the tape and pour over the emboss powder again. BEFORE you heat, be sure that you blow hard to get all the powder off the glass…you want to ensure that you have no powder residue on the glass or it will melt when you heat it.

NOTE: I used a pair of small bamboo tongs to hold my tubes as I heated them…they get VERY hot, DO NOT fill them until they have cooled.

For the sake of the photo, I did not put the bath oil in the spiral tube and I was unable to find tiny bath beads so I filled 2 with bath salts instead but you get the idea.  You could very easily add a pumice stone, sponge, a pair of those gloves…etc.

Halloween is just around the corner and Rylan is all ready for Trickin’ N’ Treatin’. We found a great costume for him this year and he found another one that will have to wait until next year.  He will be a train this year so I will be sure to post photos when he is dressed in full gear.  In the mean time, I made him this Trick-Or-Treat Paint can for him to collect all his goodies……I will also be handing out covered chocolate treats for the kids that come to the door.
